BlackBerry Z50 smartphone

Whenever there is a new boss in a company it is always accompanied with a lot of changes and exciting announcements.

John S Chen is the new Interim boss of BlackBerry and that comes with new announcements and changes. One of them is the rumor of the company releasing a new BlackBerry 10 device soon. See BlackBerry Z30 specs, now imagine Z50...

This new device according to rumor is BlackBerry Z50 and would be having a 5.2 inch display (slightly bigger than Z30).

Also, the rumor is that it would be a Quad-Core device with excellent RAM and processor speed.

Further details would e needed to truly confirm this rumor, however, it is always exciting to hear of rumors of new smartphone to be released and our eyes are peeled to see this new Z50 smartphone if the rumors are true.

BlackBerry Is Requesting New Ideas For Emoticons

One of the things that I like about BlackBerry Messenger is its useful emoticons. It's one of the best out there.

Although during the days of yahoo messenger, its emoticons were great especially the rolling on the floor one which literally rolls when sent. So hilarious.

Whatsapp emoticon could make you cry. Not so useful.

BlackBerry emoticons are good since its introduction and have survived long enough for the introduction of new nice ones.

To get things started, BlackBerry is asking all its fans to submit any idea of emoticons they have in mind. Anyone that interest BlackBerry most will be featured in their BBM app.

So guys, what are you waiting for? Wear those thinking caps and put those suggestions out there by going to this link

Suggestions are open till November 20th.

For me, I suggest one new emoticon which is the "middle finger". It's a start

BlackBerry Express

BlackBerry is innovating and bringing out new things time after time these day.

We are particularly happy with this little but extremely useful app called BlackBerry Express which was released and ready for download free of charge from the BlackBerry App World.

BlackBerry Express is a presentation app for those emergency times or those times you don't want to use your laptop to make presentation. You can install, prepare your slides and then connect to a projector to make your presentation.

BlackBerry Express is still in the beta stage but it's very stable.

BlackBerry Express is available for BlackBerry 10 smartphones running 10.2 OS and it's free to download.

BlackBerry: This Rumor of Google Play App Store Is False

The rumor that BlackBerry was about to put Google Play Store on their new BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS was huge and it obviously got to BlackBerry which eventually prompt them to give a respond to the guys at N4BB when asked concerning the issue.

Guys from N4BB authorized BlackBerry personnel on this matter and he gave statement saying that the rumor of Google Play App Store to be embedded on BlackBerry phones is false. below is a copy of the statement by BlackBerry.

"We can confirm that there is no planned support for Google Play on BlackBerry. BlackBerry World remains the primary source for trusted and curated BlackBerry applications and we continue to support open standards and open source tools so BlackBerry developers can continue to create apps on any of the development platforms we support.”

There you have it folks, directly from the horses' mouth. Sorry, Google Play store app isn't coming with BlackBerry 10.2.1. However, some android features are obvious in the new OS.

BlackBerry Devices To Officially Run Android Apps

There had been rumors of Google and BlackBerry having talks on how to allow the execution of Android apps on BlackBerry devices officially.

It is "officially" in the sense that normally, one could easily side-load, that is, install android apps into BlackBerry phones unofficially. For example you could convert some apk files into bar files and then install them on BlackBerry PlayBook.

However, with the emergence of BlackBerry 10 OS, it became even easier to side-load these Android apps on BlackBerry 10 devices due to the Android runtime environment baked into them with substantial restrictions; Most of these side-loading of android apps are done non-officially.

Now, with the emergence of BlackBerry 10.2.1 update, it seems that BlackBerry is taking these limitations off the Android runtime baked into BB10 OS. Thus its easier to run android apps.

Perhaps, one of the reasons for this is because there is talks between Google and BlackBerry to officially allow the BlackBerry phones to be able to run Android apps. Gbam!

To further corroborate these information, images of a BlackBerry Z10 running Google Play Store officially showed up which significantly put some truth on the rumors.

Imagine BlackBerry devices enjoying the same treatment as normal Android phones? Wouldn't it be sweet? That is the beginning of BlackBerry rising from the gutters it allegedly is to a place of fresh air.

BlackBerry Interim CEO John Chen Salary Structure

Blackberry fired Thirsten Heins few days ago and was replaced by John Chen as interim CEO pending the time a permanent person takes the affairs of CEO for BlackBerry.

However, the salary given to John Chen looks like BlackBerry already concluded that Chen would be the possible person to remain as CEO.

Thorsten Heins left BlackBerry with an estimated worth of $22 million but John Chen would get more than that if he was to leave according to the salary structure listed below.

Salary: $1 million

Bonuses: $2 million

Stock value for 5 years: $85 million

Restricted shares available over time: $13 million.

These values are staggering, however, for someone with so much experience and seeing how he transformed Sybase to a huge company, BlackBerry needs to be able to attract John Chen as much as possible, hoping he can turn the company around for good; and if he can't and was fired without reason, he receives $6 million in salary as a parting payment.

How to Use 2 BBM Accounts Simultaneously on One Device [Android]

Have you ever wondered if it was possible use 2 BBM accounts at the same time?
As you can see in the video I have two messengers installed, one for personal account and the other one for my YT channel. Both of the apps work simultaneously without interrupting each other.

BBM3 is an app that is identical to the original BBM, however, it works separately thus allowing you to use 2 BBM simultaneously.

The app itself is not released on Google Play store, though it's developed by a senior member on XDA and is totally safe to use. All you have to do is download the app and install it on your device.

By the way, the app does not work on ARMv6 devices!

BBM NOW LIVE ON ANDROID AND IPHONE

Blackberry has finally made true its promise of rolling out BBM for Android phones and iPhone. That is quite interesting. But here is the catch. For now only those who subscribed for updates from Blackberry to be informed when the service is rolled can be use the service for now. Maybe as a reward for keeping faith in them to keep their promise. According to the mail i received from Blackberry here:

‘’We promised you'd be the first to know when BBM for Android and iPhone is available. We're excited to announce that the roll out has resumed! Due to the incredible demand there is a line-up to start using BBM. But, since you took the time to sign up in advance, we'd like to give you the chance to start using BBM on Android or iPhone right away without having to wait in line. Here's what to do to get past the line-up:

1. Visit BBM.com from iPhone or Android browser to download BBM.

2. Once the BBM app has been installed, open it.

3. When asked to ''Enter your email address to check if you can start using BBM'', use the email address this message was sent to.

4. Get started with setting up BBM.

Note to iPhone users: Apps can take up to a few hours to appear in the App Store so if you don't see it right away, it will be there soon.’’

And i just tested and it is working. So get right to it and download. Let the pinging continue!
