The President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), and former Senator of the Federal Republic, Tari Sekibo, has died. Mr Sekibo slumped today in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and was evident lifeless at the Federal Medical Middle where he was rushed to. May his heart sleep in peace...Ase.

The leader of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda'awati Wal Jihad, also referred to as Boko Haram, Imam Abubakar Shekau, on whose head United States place a $7 million ransom yesterday evening appeared in a fresh video, saying he personally led recent attacks in Damaturu, Yobe State on October 24th 2013.

A military source who watched the brand new video in Damaturu told SaharaReporters that, Imam Shekau boasted of overrunning Nigerian military, explaining that the sect will triumph over military and set up Islamic government under Allah's descriptions, despite Nigeria's government resistance.

 Also, Shekau displays a cache of arms including AK47 guns, RPGs and a big sum of ammunition, he claimed the sect seized from Nigerian troops.

Shekau in the video also disclosed that the Damaturu attack was among the sects most successful operations as it killed several Nigerian soldiers.

He further took a swipe at the federal government sanctioned “Dialogue and Amnesty Committee” led by Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki claiming it was a deceitful plot targeted at creating division within the Boko Haram sect.

He added that they cannot know the committee and experienced nothing related to it. Shekau was silent on the attack on a wedding convoy that left about 30 people dead through the weekend, that has been today refuted by 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri.


This really is his third appearance in a movie following the military declared him dead in July.

 Nigerians and other African nationals numbering about 200 blocked the National Highway 17 on the outskirts of Goa capital in India today in protest of the death of a yet-to-be identified Nigerian. According to reports, the incident happened when a gang descended at Parra where many Nigerians stay - in four and two wheeler vehicles and attacked a small grouping of Nigerians with weapons.

A number of the Nigerians were on bikes when they were attacked. One was hit with a dagger severally that he breathed his last, while five others were injured in the attack before the assailants fled from the scene.

Other Nigerians, who rushed to the location on hearing in regards to the ghastly murder, refused law enforcement to take your body for post mortem demanding that the assailtants be arrested first.  

“The body was being taken fully to the Goa Medical College morgue in an ambulance when a mob of Africans stopped it and pulled the corpse out at Porvorim,” a police official said. 

After removing the body from the van, the protesters dropped the corpse traveling demanding justice to be done – this generated huge traffic jam on the outskirts of the Goa capital. Meanwhile, as the situation turned volatile, two companies of police personnel were rushed to the location and a number of the protesters were arrested.

A 40-year old widow named Mujidat was caught yesterday Wednesday October 30th with a dead day old baby she hid inside a sack around her residence at at the Iba area of Lagos, PM News reports.

It was gathered that a member of the community, High Chief Babatunde Balogun caught the mother of seven when she was  trying to dispose the baby at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday. When questioned on the content of the sack, she claimed she was coming from the market where she bought some household items.

However, on a closer look, Balogun discovered that the sack contained a dead day old baby the woman allegedly had just delivered. He then called the attention of the other residents. Neighbours told P.M News that after Mujidat’s husband known as Baba Mushin died about three years ago, they have seen men visiting her residence, the house built by her late husband.

When asked if she planned to throw away the baby because of an alleged paternity mess, she denied, claiming  that a welder turned block maker near her residence was responsible for the pregnancy that resulted in the birth of the dead baby she was caught with.

She claimed she took delivery of the baby by herself because she found it easy and therefore did not go to any hospital or sought anybody’s  help.

At about 9 p.m yesterday when P.M.NEWS visited the area, residents of the area were still milling around the residence of the woman.

Officials of the Community Development Association, CDA, in the area later accompanied the woman and her sack of baby to the Isheri-Oshun Police Division where the matter was reported. At the time of this report, the woman was still being interrogated.
