FG condemns ASUU’s new demands

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Federal Government, yesterday, condemned the new conditions which Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, insists must be met before the five-month old strike could be called off.

The three conditions were payment of four months salaries, which accumulated during the period of the strike; immediate implementation of the N1.2 trillion offered by the government to public universities, starting with the release of N100 billion this year and the balance of N1.1 trillion to be spread over five years from 2014.

The union also demanded that the salary arrears must not be paid in piecemeal.

These were some of the resolutions reached by members of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the union that met in Kano on Friday.

Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, condemned the new conditions but assured that he would present them before President Goodluck Jonathan.

FG asks states to stop use of okada

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Federal Government has called on states to stop the use of commercial motorcycles as means of transportation.

It said the decision to dissuade the use of commercial motorcycles in states was reached by stakeholders during the recent 13th meeting of the National Council on Transport.

A communiqué after the meeting, which was made available to our correspondent by the Federal Ministry of Transport on Monday, urged states to intensify the enforcement of existing laws on road worthiness.

Reading from the communiqué at a one day conference on the use of road and accident prevention techniques in Abuja, the Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar, said as states worked towards putting off commercial motorcycles, they should also encourage the use of speed-limiting devices on commercial passenger and goods only vehicles.

He said, "States should discourage the use of commercial motorcycles as means of public transportation. They are encouraged to establish functional Vehicle Inspection Offices to ensure proper road safety enforcement, driving license processing and road worthiness testing."

Umar, who was represented by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Mr. Nebolisa Emordi, said the NCT decided to create the required awareness on the alarming rate of road crashes on the nation's highways, which had continued to claim thousands of lives yearly.

Iyayi’s Burial: ASUU Bars Government Officials from participating.

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has barred government officials from participating in the burial programmes of its former president, Festus Iyayi.
The union is also demanding that an autopsy be performed on the corpse of Iyayi, to determine the actual cause of death.
The autopsy demand followed controversy over the actual cause of the death of the late ASUU activist.
A statement issued by the UNIBEN ASUU chapter, stated: "Professor Festus Iyayi did not just die in an accident but that he was willfully murdered by the state and its agents."
Continue.....................

The union added that at the appropriate time, ASUU and Prof. Iyayi's family would demand concrete answers from the state for his murder.
The statement which was signed by the union's chairman and secretary, Dr. Anthony Monye-Emina and Okeri Henry, respectively, said it was aware that there were deliberate steps being taken by the state and its agents to distort the facts of the 'accident' as it happened.

"This started with the reckless and irresponsible press statement that was issued by the Kogi State Government to try to explain away the killing of Professor Iyayi, and there are further attempts to conceal and distort available evidence. We shall of course meet them with the facts," the statement said.
The union while barring government officials from Iyayi's burial arrangements, said it and Iyayi's family were capable of giving the late professor a befitting burial he deserves.
The union also assured that Governor Idris Wada and those responsible for the accident that claimed the life of Iyayi would be made to face trial.

Commenting on ASUU's statement, a spokesman for the Iyayi family, Prof. Robert Ebewele, explained that the issue of autopsy was ASUU's affair and that the family would go on with burial plans for Iyayi earlier slated for the first week of December.

Brazil 2014 Not Sure For Keshi Yet - NFF

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), says it has not taken a categorical stand on Stephen Keshi heading Nigeria’s coaching crew to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

Nigeria’s sports minister, Bolaji Abdullahi last week announced that a “foreign technical assistant” will be drafted in to the Super Eagles backroom staff if Keshi makes such a request.
Continue...........
The NFF has now revealed that no decision has been reached in that regard as the federation was still in the process of appraising the performance of all the coaches under its employ.

“The minister (for Sport) has been like a father. He means well and I am sure his words are aimed at improving our national team even more. What he said was advisory and we are full of gratitude to him,” NFF’s technical committee chairman, Barrister Chris Green told supersport.com.

Green also revealed that the technical committee of the NFF would meet soon to reach a definite conclusion on the matter.

“Right now, we are still appraising what has been done so far and we have yet to come to any conclusion as to whether the team needs an assistant or not.

“However, all the coaches we have appointed for all our national teams have done very well in their various roles.

“However, we are always looking to improve and get to the very best level so as to favourably challenge the very best in the world,” he said.

NFF president, Alhaji Aminu Maigari also discussed the issue with supersport.com.

“I am impressed with Keshi and all the national team coaches but I cannot make unilateral decisions.

“The technical committee of the federation will meet and recommendations will then be ratified by the executive committee,” he said.

Tribunesport recalls that Frenchman Phillipe Troussier, Shuaibu Amodu took Nigeria through the qualifiers of France ‘98 and South-Korea-Japan 2002 respectively only to be replaced by Bora Milutinovic and Adegboye Onigbinde at the World Cup finals.

Amodu again lost his post to Swedish Lars Lagerback at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

CONFESSION: I Robbed Wealthy Muslims To Help The Needy — Alhaji Robbery Suspect

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Islamic faith hammers on freewill offering to the needy, which is recognized as Zakat, and all Muslims identify the fact that they owe the underprivileged the duty to offer, in money or kind, to higher their lot. font

In this duty, there's no power or compulsion, but an expression of duty.
But how does one explain the decision of Alhaji Farouk Badmus, whose objective as a Muslim would be to deliver armed men to significant Muslims to deprive them at gunpoint, giving his reason as seeking'to get from the rich to share with the poor'?
Continue

This is what Badmus and his errand boy, Yinus Adewale, a 29-year-old Iwo town, Osun State-born scholar of Electrical/Electronics Design from Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, decided  to do , and which landed both suspects in authorities net.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Indabawa, had told journalists during a parade of suspects at the police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, on Tuesday, November 19, that Adewale attacked one Alhaji (names withheld) on Friday, November 15, 2013 at about 2:30 pm., in his house at Moniya area of the town, while armed with European-made Baretta pistol, loaded with five rounds of live ammunition.

According to the police commissioner, the man summoned courage and confronted his assailant. "With the help of neighbours, the suspected armed robber was overpowered and disarmed," he said, adding that a call was put through to Moniya Division, from where the Divisional Police Officer sent policemen to arrest the suspect.

When the suspect was transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ibadan, for further interrogation, Crime Reports learnt that his confession led to the arrest of Badmus, whom he claimed sent him on the criminal mission.

In an interview with the suspect, who claimed that he just completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in February in Taraba State, he narrated his involvement thus: "I was sent to rob our target by one Alhaji Farouk Badmus, whom I met inside a commercial bus while going back to Iwo town, during my visit to Ibadan to claim my last state allowance. Since then, Alhaji Badmus had been of assistance to me and always gave me words of advice.

"It was during one of my visits to him that he told me about a former missionary of NASFAT, a Muslim organisation, against whom he held a grudge. He told me that he sought the help of the Islamic missionary in 2010, when his wife needed N80,000 to carry out an operation when she was pregnant, but the man said he had no money to help.
"Sadly, Alhaji Badmus said his wife lost the baby, because he did not get the money he needed for the operation. He was angry with the missionary for not helping when he knew he had the means to do so.
"Alhaji Badmus also added that there were other wealthy Muslims he knew but who are not ready to help the underprivileged. He suggested that we should target those wealthy but stingy Muslims, rob them and give a part of our loot to the needy while we keep the rest for ourselves. I agreed with him but suggested that we should get a gun to make our job easier.

"I told him that I would approach one guy called Private in Otukpo, Benue State, to see if he could help in procuring a gun. Alhaji gave me N40,000 and I added N10,000 to purchase the gun. Private said the gun was N70,000 and he is still expecting me to pay a balance of N20,000. When I came back, we agreed that we would not be assassins or armed robbers, deciding that we would just be using the gun to scare our targets.

"When I came back from Benue State, Alhaji Badmus gave me the missionary's number and I called him, pretending that I needed prayers for my brother whose goods were seized. The man described his house to me and asked me to bring my brother. When I got to him, I said my brother was already in a nearby hotel, but he told me that he does not go to people's houses to pray for them, asking me to tell my brother to come to his house.
"When I saw he was hesitant in going with me, I decided to take out the weapon with me which was inside a polythene bag, in order to scare him, but the victim was quick to notice it. He immediately started dragging the bag with me and shouted for help. I dropped the gun and ran but I was pursued and caught by the people in the area. They wounded me and handed me over to the police."

Thirty-six-year-old Badmus, an indigene of Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State, but who resides in Iwo, confessed to have sent the suspect to rob the victim. He also revealed how the thought was conceived. "We were in the house one fateful day, when I thought of people who have money, but do not want to give to the poor; I later made up my mind to take from those types of people to give to the poor."

Mr Indabawa said that the two suspects were still aiding the police in their investigations, adding that they would be charged to court at the completion of investigation.

I only kill those who deserve death –Suspect

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

A university dropout, Sodiq Jimoh, has told operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos that he is not an armed robber, but a killer.
Jimoh, a 28-year-old indigene of Lagos State, confessed that he was a member of Eiye Confraternity and was responsible for the murder of many rival cult members.
According to Police authorities, the suspect, who is a trader at the Alaba International Market, was usually hired on contract by traders in the market to intimidate or kill rivals.
The suspect and others at large were said to have killed at least five people in Alaba area of the state in May.
It was learnt that after the killings, the Officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, began an investigation and Jimoh was arrested along with his friend, Ibrahim Oshilomo. After a search of Jimoh's home, two masks and guns were found.
Jimoh, said, "I am not an armed robber, I am just a member of Eiye cult. During the market election, one of the contestants gave us N1m to flush out his opponent's supporters.
"On May 22, 2013, we knew that Black Axe (Aiye) members had also been paid to support an opponent. So we knew there would be a fight. I got 15 of my boys and Aiye people attacked us first. But the Eiye boys were able to gun them down.
"Four of them, Chibuzor, Tony, Ayanga and Chinedu; died on the spot. I did not pity them because it was self-defence. As cultists, we only kill those who deserve death and those guys were also evil."
Jimoh, who claimed to be married with three children, said he was not the leader of the cult but the fifth in command.
He added that he usually wore the mask in order to avoid being identified by rival cult members.
When asked why he took to cultism, he said, "When I was in 300 level, some boys tricked me into following them to a party and gave me something to eat. They said if I did not join them, I would die.
"I couldn't cope with school so I left and then became a television trader in the Alaba Market."
The second suspect, Oshilomo, said he also participated in the killing, but was deceived into joining in the operation.
"I am also an Eiye member but I belong to Iba branch, not Alaba branch. I only went to buy something in the market on that day when Jimoh said I should escort him somewhere. It was when Aiye boys started shooting at us that I retaliated," he said.
When asked where they usually got their weapons from, Oshilomo said, "Our leader, Falade, aka Elebiti, usually gets the guns for us. His father is a traditional leader in Lagos, so the guns are kept in the palace because we know policemen cannot just go in there to search the place.
"Elebiti travelled out of the country when he learnt of our arrest."
Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the arrest to our correspondent on the telephone.
Braide said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

‘Wande Coal’s break-up with Don Jazzy Shocked me” – D’ Prince Reveals..

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

Charles Enebeli, also known as D'Prince, who was recently signed on as MTN brand ambassador and whose track, Booty Bag, has beenenjoying airplay on radio, speaks with Tribune, on Wande Coal and Don Jazzy's break-up with Mavin Record and other issues.
You were in Ibadan recently for the MTN Loud Naija event, what was it like, seeing a lot of people turning out to watch you and other musicians' perform?
Honestly, the feeling was
great. I have been to Ibadan a couple of times, but this last show was something special. What thrilled me most that night was the fact that we had a lot of young and old people showing us love. The impression we had was that Ibadan people don't go out at night, that they always retire to bed early. So, when I was about to perform and I saw the huge crowd, I said to myself that I better give these people the best of my performance. I am happy that they really had fun because I did too.
What memory of your experience in Ibadan did you take back to Lagos?
Ibadan is like our second home after Lagos. The fact is that you will always have something to say about anywhere you visit around the world. But as I said, I always love coming to Ibadan. The love you get from these wonderful people will always make you want to go back to that city. The after-party was another unforgettable night of fun. I really had fun. Ibadan is fast becoming another big place like Lagos. I am happy that after Lagos, there is another big place where people appreciate good music and will stop at nothing to make sure they have fun to the full.
You are a member of Mavin group. How do you feel about the goings-on in the group?
Mavin is not just my label, it is my family. It is my home and I am happy with it. I am enjoying my contract because I am working with a great set of people who share the same vision with me about my career. So, everybody is working to take the label to an enviable height and I know God is in control of our affairs. From the boss to the least person on the label, we all work together as one big family. We always make sure we produce good music that people will always say good things about. You must have noticed that we know how to do it, that's why everybody appreciates anything that comes out of that label. What matters in life is how happy you are with what you are doing and who you are working with. For me, I am very happy and satisfied with what I am doing under Mavin records.
Are you happy with the way things are going, considering the fact it was formed after the break up of Mo'hits?
There is nothing special about it. You heard in the news just like I did. It is one of those things that happen with any successful record label. It is not peculiar to Mavin. Mavin remains stronger than before. Everybody is working and we are moving ahead. That somebody left or that somebody may leave tomorrow, does not mean we should all stand down and look. This is one big happy family; whatever happens, we have to stick together so that we can fashion out the way forward; not to dwell on what happened in the past. That will only take us back.
What does this unfortunate development portend for Mavin as a group?
You know this is like a business and you can't always foresee what might happen to you or your partner. You won't even know where your relationship is heading to until it ends one day. But at the end of the day, you just have to give thanks to God for the gift of life because that's what matters to me. As long as I have my life, I can always find my way through whatever challenge that comes my way. You can't run away from things like this, but your ability to deal with it is the most important thing. You will agree with me that at the end of the day, you have got only your life to look after. I f you lose it, you are finished. I just thank God for my life, that's all I can say.
You have suffered two break-ups in less than three years. If you look at the two scenarios, do you see any connection?
Why are you linking two different things together? But back to your question, as I said, I can't really explain how it happened. If I tell you I could, I won't be telling you the truth. In order not to confuse our audience, especially those who love us for what we have been able to prove over the years, I will say it was a big shock to me as it was to you people. I felt the way you might have felt when you heard about it. What I want people to do is to pray for us that God should guide us. Without His guide, we can't do anything successfully.
What lesson have you learnt from it personally and don't you think this may affect you in one way or the other?
One thing I want to bring out of this is that nobody knows tomorrow. So, whatever you do today, just do it very well. This development is a shock to all of us because Wande Coal is like our brother. Basically, we will keep the flag flying. No hard feelings and no bad blood. Like I said, we are all brothers. We will definitely find a way to get things sorted out.
Will this not affect your relationship with Wande Coal?
I don't see it that way. Wande is my brother. We see each other at least every other day. I have no problem with Wande. The relationship remains as cordial as before. If you know the kind of relationship that exists between us, I am sure you won't be saying this. That he decided to leave does not mean it will affect our relationship; it won't. Break-up or no break-up, you have to be thankful to God for the good life He has blessed you with. Whether we like it or not, we remain one big family. From D'Banj to Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, me, Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage, I want our fans to continue to pray for us. It will mean a lot to the group right now.
Is there any difference between the defunct Mo'hits and the current Mavin group?
When you hear Mavin, you hear Mo'hits because this is something that has been on for a long time. We didn't just start yesterday. People love us because they know we will give them positive music as we have been churning it out since day one. My last album is barely a year old and you can see how far it has gone.

Tariff Rates on imported vehicles & Tyres Set to rise by 60%.

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Federal Government has released the facts of new duties and levies payable on imported new and used vehicles as well as imported new tyres from next year, raising the tariff from 20 per cent to 70 per cent.
Dealers of imported vehicles estimated that the new rate would translate into an increase of 60 per cent on imported cars.
The Federal Executive Council had last month approved a new national automotive policy aimed at encouraging local production and assembling of new vehicles by having an imposition of a high import tariff on fully built vehicles. But the new rate was not given then.

A two-page document dated November 14, 2013 and signed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, gave the new import tariff on cars as 70 per cent (of the price of each vehicle).
It stated that the fully built car would attract a duty of 35 per cent and a levy of another 35 per cent of the price of the vehicle.
Hitherto, importers/dealers parted with 20 per cent and two per cent as duty and levy, respectively on new cars. Ten per cent flat rate was also imposed on commercial vehicles. Although the new tariff on cars shows an increase of 48 per cent within the old rate, dealers have estimated that the showroom price of an imported car will rise by 60 per cent when other variables (costs) are added.

In other words, prices of imported cars currently being sold between N3m and N5m will shoot around N4.8m and N8m; while tokunbo vehicles selling for N800,000 will rise to N1.28m. People who spoke with the correspondent on the matter on Sunday also warned that there mightn't be adequate vehicles to meet the demand of the country next year.

A sales manager with one of many major dealers said, “Many of us are skeptical about ordering for new vehicles because we don't know if people would be ready to pay for about 60 per cent increase on the cars once the import duty and levy are put into the first cost of purchase.
“Even the supplies by local plants will obviously be grossly inadequate to meet the demand.”
The document, with reference number BD/FP/DO/09/189, also stated that fully built commercial vehicles would attract 35 per cent duty but no levy imposed.

Specifically, it stated, “Local assembly plants shall import completely knocked down (vehicles) at zero per cent duty; and semi-knocked down (vehicles) at five per cent duty. “Local assembly plants shall import fully built unit cars at 35 per cent duty and 20 per cent for commercial vehicles without levy, respectively in numbers add up to twice their CKD/SKD kits. Imported tyres would also cost more as from next year as 20 per cent duty and five per cent value added tax have been added to tyres of cars, buses and lorries.

“Local tyre manufacturing plants are to import tyres at five per cent duty in numbers add up to twice their production for two years from the date of commencement of production,” it stated.

Similar high tariff will also be charged on used vehicles, according to the document. It added that the Nigeria Customs Service “shall utilize the value of a new vehicle depreciated by 10 per cent per annum, implying 10 years amount of cars and by seven per cent per annum implying 15 year period for commercial vehicles. Either way, depreciation shouldn't be below 30 per cent of the value of the new vehicle equivalent.”

IBB ,Ciroma, can not stop Jonathan in 2015 – Presidency

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Presidency on Sunday said prominent northern leaders, including Alhaji Adamu Ciroma and a former military dictator, Ibrahim Babangida, could not affect the chances of President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 general elections if he decided to contest. Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Mr. Ahmed Gulak, said this in a interview with the correspondent.

Gulak was giving an answer to a media report that northern politicians had create a committee whose membership included Ciroma and Babangida to increase the move by the seven aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party governors to become listed on the opposition All Progressive Congress.
He said it had been on record that the President won the 2011 presidential election without the support of the named northern politicians.
The presidential aide said the latest move, if true, could not therefore affect Jonathan's chances in the 2015 election.
“I am not aware of the establishing of such a committee. What I could let you know however is that if you recall, the individuals whose names you simply mentioned did not support President Jonathan in 2011 and that did not stop him from winning. And this latest move too cannot stop him if he decided to contest in 2015,” he said.
Gulak denied the claim by Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger Declare that the Presidency had bribed 400 northerners to aid Jonathan in 2015.
Challenging the governor to say the politicians that were bribed, the presidential aide insisted that Jonathan wasn't used to bribing people for whatever reason.
“What I could simply say is that Mr. President is not used to bribing people. We challenge Aliyu to call individuals that were bribed,” he said.
Aliyu, on Saturday in Minna at the 25th anniversary celebration of the enthronement of the Emir of Minna, alleged that about 400 prominent Northerners have been bribed to betray the region by supporting Jonathan in the 2015 election.
He added that those that collected the amount of money will be exposed
“the moment we lay our hands on the list of individuals involved.”
He said, “We are looking for that list so that people will tell the people of the region why these are individuals that want to betray them.
We hear the rumour of some individuals who say that they have the list of 400 prominent Northerners they are going to settle and that they are sure if they settle 400 everything is going to be okay in 2015.”
The governors said the North wasn't afraid of 2015 election, adding that it will be a game of numbers.
“No real matter what happens by 2015, we (northerners) should not hesitate because politics is just a game of number. Through the ballot box we are able to always determine who becomes our leader. Don't hesitate, let there be 200 candidates, God will allow only anyone to emerge,” he said.

To Our Dearest Christians Brothers $ Sisters: Do You Believe in Speaking in Tongues? - OOR and Writer Shares Her Experience

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
Firstly, I am one of the Christians who do not subscribe to speaking in tongues anytime anyhow.

No I do not believe it when a man of God or a prayer warrior opens his mouth and says; “Let’s speak in tongues”

And immediately the whole congregation breaks into it. I will stand there and shake my head in disbelief!

I was watching metro TV recently when a man of God was on the TGIF show saying, he is a longstanding man of God but he gets uncomfortable when people speak tongues into a speaker and there is nobody to translate.

For him, it must be translated by somebody otherwise it is controversial. Well, that’s his special opinion too which many people will argue and counter.

Now let’s talk about my own experience with churches who literally force you to speak in tongues or feel like a devil. I call it the great deception.

One fine Sunday I followed a Nigerian friend to his church that he had been inviting me to for awhile. I will leave out the name of the church but believe me, it is a very popular church. My experience with many charismatic churches has been varied but this particularly pertains to speaking in tongues.

I loved their praise and worship, sermon and everything else was just really good. So good I made a mental note to go back. Then came the end of the service when they asked new members to stand up. I did…

Then after some formalities, they asked us to meet a team in the back of the church. I again followed. They registered us for several classes during the week, spoke to us about being faithful to the church, and then explained why we need to speak in tongues.

They said sometimes, we may need to pray about specific situations which we are physically unaware of so God permits our spirit to pray. And our spirit prays about these things in tongues. So our spirit directly speaks to God on our behalf and for unseen things which we do need but we do not know. Hmmph! Lovely explanation.

It made much sense to me. But after this explanation we were all told to start praying. We prayed for very long and everybody started praying in tongues. The leader of the group kept shouting; “speak in tongues! Speak in tongues!” so everybody, both new and old started speaking in tongues.

Ei Jesus, my tongue did not bring forth this strange language. So they noticed it and assigned me 3 prayer warriors-a woman and two young men. They laid their hands on me and prayed in heavy tongues. Then they said I should open my mouth and speak. “Speak sister, it is in you, do not refuse to let it out, you are blocking it. Open your mouth and let it come out!”

All this while, I was utterly confused. I swear to you Jesus did not give me any tongues that day. Maybe I know the wrong Jesus? Because everybody else in the church spoke in tongues that day. Finally, they got tired of waiting for me to speak in tongues and let me go.

I run home, never to go back. And since then, regardless of the explanations and observations, my faith in tongues has been seriously weakened.

What’s your experience with tongues? Do you speak it, how and why? Do you believe in it?

He Gave me sack letter because I refused to sleep with him - Ex-secretary to Ambassador

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
Being an ambassador, your primary assignment is to be an official representative to a foreign country. One of your duties is to paint the country you are representing in good image; this is a different case when it gets to the Ambassador to Sri Lanka, F. A. Rotimi.

Mr. Rotimi is not a hidden person when talking about an ambassador or a diplomat with a blacklist, but a country like Nigeria, influential people are hardly crucified despite their horrific and embarrassing attitude home and abroad.
Continue

A fan who read about his egoistic attitude towards NAIJA CENTER NEWS during VP Sambo visit in Sri Lanka, said she wasn't surprise as she knew it would only be a matter of time before he (Rotimi) shows his true colour.

Her words "I read your news on the Sri Lankan meeting and was utterly not surprised considering my brush with Rotimi who is the ambassador there, i knew it would only be a matter of time before signs of his true colors began to show"

"His trip to Poland was the punitive equivalent of sending someone to Serbia, this was as a result of his atrocities,

"During this "chastisement" probation was when his moles were deleting his bad case files which aided him in scaling through the panel screening for ambassadorial position. he had cases of infidelity and illegitimate children, bilking the chancery position and even fraudulent papers presented to the Ministry which was the basis on his being appointed in the first place to chancery"

She added "He brags about being untouchable and what not, uses security to harass "un-friendly media" as long as you are not on his hatchet team to cover up stuff"

In the book written by Mr. John Igbokwe in 1995 titled "The Evil of femi Akenson Rotimi” it narrated his atrocities during his time in Philippines as the head of Chancery.

According to the book, Mr. Rotimi's fraudulent rank was first discovered by a Nigerian diplomat who was working with him in Manila. It was discovered that Femi Akenson Rotimi arrived in Philippines with a rank he dubiously acquired.

Below is summary of his atrocities:

1. Mr. F. A. Rotimi committed a criminal breach when he served in Canada. He was demoted in rank and punitively transferred to a former Communist country in Europe.

2. Stealing of embassy property by Mr. F. A. Rotimi that Ajewole did not investigate leading to popular perception that Nigerian diplomats in Manila are thieves.

3. Mr. F. A. Rotimi corruptly claimed several thousands of United States' dollars in false and unqualified Kindergarten education expenses for his under-aged daughter with the conscious acquiescence of Charge D'Affaires, Mr. Ajewole.

4. Four (4) confirmed and two (2) widely assumed Nigerian citizens were assassinated in the Philippines over the seventeen-year history of the Embassy of Nigeria, Manila from 1981 through 1998. Five or 83.33 percent of the six murders occurred under the incredibly reckless and corrupt administration of Messrs. Samuel I. Ajewole and Femi Akenson Rotimi. A seventh murder which occurred in 1999 was a direct result of the foundation of abuse and neglectful insensitivity laid by Messrs. Ajewole and Rotimi.

Angola reportedly bans Islam. How can they do that though?

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

Shouldn't there be freedom of religion to every

citizen of a country, so how can Angola do this? If

reports are to be believed then the Southern African

country has become the first country in the world to

ban the Islamic religion. According to multiple

reports coming from Angola, Mosques in the

country have been closed down and some even

destroyed.

The Guardian reports that on November 22, the

Angolan Minister of Culture Rosa Cruz e Silva said

that "the process of legalization of Islam has not

been approved by the Ministry of Justice and

Human Rights and so their mosques would be closed

until further notice."

Does a religion need to be legalized? The minister

also said that the closing of mosques was done in a

move to stop so-called 'illegal religious sects.' Under

new laws in Angola, many religious sects have

suddenly become criminal.

Yesterday November 24, Angola President José

Eduardo dos Santos said that the country is working

toward putting an end to Islamic influence in Angola

once and for all while the Governor of Luanda, Bento

Bento, said that "radical" Muslims are not welcome

in the country and that the Angolan government will

not be legalizing mosques or other places of worship

for Muslims.

Angola Bans Islam All Mosques To Be Destroyed

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
AFRICANGLOBE – By popular demand, Angolan authorities have taken pre-emptive action and decided to ban the Muslim religion, which they consider a cult, NOT a religion. They see what Muslims are doing to non-Muslims, especially in Africa, and are taking steps to prevent the same from happening in Angola.
Continue after the break.

In early October 2013, the Muslims living in Luanda in the municipality of Viana Zango were shocked to see the minaret of their mosque dismantled into pieces on the ground without permission. On Thursday 03 October in the morning, the Angolan authorities decided to destroy the mosque Zango located in the urban district of Viana 17 km. The governor of Luanda Bento announced in a radio spot that radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques in Angola.

And on Tuesday, November 19, the Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said. “Regarding Islam, the legalization process has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Therefore all mosques would be closed until further notice. “ It should be noted that the Angolan government has made closing of all mosques a priority. The only two mosques located in Luanda have already received a warning document signed by the mayor of the municipality of Viana José Moreno.

The provincial governor of Luanda, Bento Bento, said on the airwaves of local radio that “radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques.” Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva explained that the law on freedom of religion will be reviewed given the current national context , noting that the Government will redouble its efforts to fight relentlessly against religious cults like Islam which are contrary to the customs of Angolan culture.
95% of Angola’s population is Christian. A quarter belongs to Protestant churches founded during the colonial period, including congregational evangelical church.

This decisive action taken by the Angolan head of state is based on a desire to guard against the rise of the Wahhabi ideology that has created havoc, death and destruction in Africa and elsewhere. And as rightly explained Tunisian philosopher Mezri Haddad: “Islamism and Islamophobia feed each other. Worse, long-term Islamism as an ideology destroy Islam as religion. “

According to the International Religious Freedom Report 2008, Islam in Angola is a minority religion with 80,000 – 90,000 adherents, composed largely of migrants from West Africa and families of Lebanese origin. The Muslims comprise between 2.5 to 3 percent of Angola’s overall population of 17 million people, most of them Christians.
in the last decade, but especially during the last few years the Muslim community in Angola has grown appreciably and Islamic activities have become more common in major cities. Mosques have sprung up in a number of places and Qur’anic schools have been built to provide Islamic instructions and teach Arabic language to adherents.

Public attitudes toward Islam have been generally negative. Cultural differences between Angolan and Muslim immigrants have been the basis for negative views toward Islam, as was the perceived link between Islam and illegal immigration. Since the September 11 attacks, there has been a deliberate attempt to link Muslims with terrorism. It has become a matter of routine at Luanda airport for security officers to detain Muslims arriving from Sahelian countries.

On September 1, 2008, a Muslim mob attacked non-Muslims in the community of Andulo. The school-age daughter of a deacon at one of the churches was decapitated. Forty Christians were assaulted or tortured. The mob burned three church buildings. They also went to non-Muslim houses to intimidate them or destroyed items of property. Stones were thrown at the headquarters of a local Christian project, causing some damage. An Angolan Christian leader said that the local police were unable to stop the attack and fled the scene.

How To Get Substitute Credit Card Number For Certain Online Activities

Posted by Unknown 1 komentar
There are so many online activities that require one to enter personal credit card details before one can register or try out a certain service.

The thing is putting up credit card information into these websites may and may not cause harm. Some websites even want you to  put in Credit Card information before you can sign up even when money is not going to be actually deducted.

Therefore, there is a need for a make-believe Credit Card Numbers just to  bypass this need by the website. This being said, it is also better to be cautious not to fall victim for a non-trusting website that may use  the Credit Card information to defraud.

Well, the trouble is already sorted with this application called GetCreditCardNumbers.

GetCreditCardNumbers come to the rescue by generating fake Credit Card number that are identical to the real thing in terms of expiry date, card type etc.

Honestly, this is a good way to avoid being a victim of Credit Card theft by one ridiculous website as you can now easily generate a fake Credit Card to use.

The numbers are still fake though, meaning that no account or money is tied to the numbers. This means that if the target website go ahead to verify the card, it would come back empty and therefore null & void. However, the good part is that it helps to reduce card fraud in a way and can be downloaded on your Android phone for free.

You can get GetCreditCardNumbers for Android phone from here or head over to their website here to download multiple Credit Card numbers

ASUU' conditions to End National Strike. (Read)

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said it will  not  suspend its ongoing strike  until the four months salaries owed its members are paid.
The union also wants the immediate implementation of the N1.2tn offer by the Federal Government to public universities, starting with the release of N100bn this year. The balance of N1.1tn is to be spread over five years from 2014.
Continue...........

These were some of the resolutions reached by members of the National Executive Council of the union who converged on Kano on Friday to deliberate on whether to call off the over four- month-old industrial action or not.
A source, who was privy to the resolutions  reached during the President Goodluck Jonathan – ASUU leadership meeting three weeks ago, told Our source on Sunday,  that  the fresh demands were some of the issues to be tabled before Jonathan by  the leadership  during their next meeting. A date for the meeting is yet to be fixed.
According to the source, a strong commitment to  two demands, among other pending issues, must be obtained from the President before the  industrial action will be called off by the union.

He said, “The issue now is  on trust and we do not want a situation where promises will not be kept. The authorities have failed us in the past and we do not want a repeat of that.

”That was why we decided at the NEC meeting that the government should pay us the arrears of salaries being owed us since we started the strike on July1 before the strike can be called off. The salaries should not be paid piecemeal.
“We also insist that the Federal Government should start the implementation of the offer made to us when we met the President some weeks ago.

“For instance, the N100bn he (Jonathan) agreed to inject into the university system in 2013 should be released to the universities immediately. So, we decided that before the strike could be called off, these two conditions and others must be met not by promises but by real action.”
The NEC members, who  met behind closed doors  at the Bayero University, Kano, were said to have reviewed the reports of the various university congresses on the strike.
Punch source, added that the death of a former National President of ASUU, Prof. Festus Iyayi, was discussed at the NEC meeting.
Iyayi, a University of Benin lecturer, died in an auto accident involving the convoy of the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada and an ASUU vehicle, on his way to Kano  for  the  meeting. The  union’s National Welfare Officer, Dr. Ngozi Ilo, was injured. Punch source said the  accident “almost led  to the discontinuation of the ongoing negotiation with the Federal Government.
He added, “Some members expressed the belief that he (Iyayi) was killed by the government and therefore argued that the ongoing negotiation should be called off. Tempers rose but some members argued that the President should be respected because he had created the record of being the first Nigerian leader  to  meet with  the leadership of ASUU on the issue of making the nation’s university system better. They also argued that  students and parents should be considered.”
It was also learnt that after arguments for and against, about 60 per cent of the members of the NEC voted in favour of  the discontinuation of the strike  while the  remaining 40 per cent voted no.
But it was gathered that the  NEC members  unanimously agreed that before the strike could be called off, the leadership should ask  the government to pay  the four-month salary arrears being owed university teachers while the offer made by the government should be implemented immediately.
A key component of the agreement reached by both ASUU and the Federal Government when the President led the government team was that government would inject N1.2tn into public universities.
The government also agreed  that the N1.2tn would be domiciled at the Central Bank of Nigeria to show its commitment to the agreement.
The money is expected to be released on quarterly basis to the universities so that there won’t be any problem about implementing the deal.
The National Universities Commission and the Trade Union Congress will be the joint guarantors of the agreement while the Minister of Education will be the implementing officer. The government also agreed to revamp public universities by ensuring that all the issues that always lead to strike were  dealt with once and for all.
A majority of the chapters of the union had agreed  to  the suspension of the strike following the fresh commitment the leadership of ASUU obtained from the government.
ASUU National President, Dr. Nassir Fagge, did not pick the several calls made to his telephone line by one of  our correspondents on Sunday to confirm the fresh demands.
The  University of Lagos chapter ASUU Chairman, Dr. Karo Ogbinaka, and his counterpart in  the Lagos State University, Dr. Adekunle Idris, also  refused to divulge information on the outcome of the NEC meeting.
ASUU had embarked on the strike  to protest against the failure of the government  to implement the agreement they signed   in 2009.
The pact largely centered on better  funding of the universities, a declaration of a state of emergency in tertiary education, better wages  and  payment of earned allowances to lecturers.
It  had suspended the NEC  meeting penultimate week following Iyayi’s death.
