The father of Kelechi Iheanacho has raised alarm over the whereabouts of his soccer star son, saying he has been taken away by agents without his consent.Iheanacho’s father declares son ‘missing’
Iheanacho, 17, was the top star of the recent FIFA Under-17 World Cup and is wanted by a clutch of Europe’s top clubs.
However, controversies have continued to trail his next destination.
This week, Golden Eaglets assistant coach Emmanuel Amuneke was reported to have manhandled a FIFA agent in Owerri over the youngster’s transfer.
“I don’t know the whereabouts of my son. I have not been able to reach him for the past three days,” James Iheanacho said on Hot FM Owerri on Friday.

Unconfirmed reports said two Golden Eaglets officials and a Portugal-based agent simply known as Graham may have taken the younger Iheanacho to Abuja to perfect his transfer to Europe.
Graham was behind the summer transfer of Nigeria Under-20 midfielder Chidi Osuchukwu to another Portuguese club, Sporting Braga.
Portuguese champions FC Porto are believed to be in pole position to sign the player from Taye Academy in Owerri.
But Porto president is said to be unhappy about the transaction as it appeared to have been facilitated by some of his top men behind his back.

South Korean female footballer asked to take gender test to prove she is a woman

Posted by Unknown Senin, 11 November 2013 0 komentar
South Korean football player Park Eun-Seon has been asked to take a gender test to prove she is a woman, after scoring 19 goals in 22 games in the country's women's soccer league. The entire league is threatening to boycott all games unless Park, who is the competition's best striker, takes a sex test. Some of them think that Park is actually a man.

Her supporters have called for an investigation into whether her human rights is being violated. Meanwhile Park took to her Facebook page a few days ago to express how she felt about the situation
"I have gone through the gender examination thing several times. I did it in a World Cup, in an Olympics and in several others and there were no problems. I've worked so hard to get to this point, and I will not give up easily. I know what these people are trying to do, and I won't fall down." She wrote
Secretary General of Seoul Sports Council Kim Joon-soo supported Park in a statement
“This is a serious violation of human rights that she’s suffering for a second time. The question regarding (Park’s) gender identity shall never be raised again. The city of Seoul will take all necessary measures to protect our player’s human rights,” he said.
Local media reported that six of the WK-League’s seven coaches held an informal meeting on October 19 and subsequently filed a complaint with the Korea Football Association that if Park did not take a gender test they would boycott next year’s competition. Park has agreed to go through another test.

Golden Eaglets conquered the world

Nigeria Golden Eaglets became the most successful team in FIFA U-17 World Cup history with a 3-0 win over holders Mexico at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The final was a rematch of the 6-1 win Nigeria inflicted on the Mexicans in Group F play and sees the Golden Eaglets lay hands on the junior world trophy for the fourth time in their history, one better than South American giants Brazil. When the final whistle went in the UAE capital, fans and players alike rejoiced, fingers pointed to the sky, with what has become the traditional Nigerian celebration of: "yes, yes yes!"
Mexico kept the ball for a full two minutes at the start of the game, moving it around well and making the Nigerians chase. El Tri even managed the first chance on goal after six minutes. Osvaldo Rodriguez crossed from the left, but Alejandro Diaz couldn't keep his close-range effort the right side of the post. Two minutes on and Ivan Ochoa – who scored twice in the semi-final win over Argentina – saw his off-balance header pushed over the bar by Dele Alampasu.

The corner came to nothing for the Mexicans, but Nigeria benefitted greatly by bursting out on a classic counter-attack. Kelechi Iheanacho went flying up the pitch. With just one Mexican defender in position, the No10 Golden Eaglet laid the ball in for Taiwo Awoniyi who then fed it on to Musa Yahaha, who had a little help from Erick Aguirre. The Mexican midfielder mistakenly hit the ball into his own net in an attempt to recover.
With the score 1-0, Musa Muhammed was giving the Mexicans fits with his rampaging runs up the right side. He pinned the opponents back at every opportunity. As the first half pushed toward the interval, the Africans upped their tempo in search of a second goal. Yahaya rattled the crossbar with a stunning effort from 20 yards out after 38 minutes. Pressure was mounting and the fans in the stands were on their feet when Awoniyi's bicycle-kick from the penalty spot forced Raul Gudino into a magnificent reaction save in the dying moments of the half.
The second period began with a frenzy of attacks at both ends of the pitch, but it was Nigeria who made theirs count, making it 2-0 in the 56th minute. Captain Muhammed unleashed a wicked swirling shot that Mexican keeper Gudino simply couldn't hang on to. He spilled a rebound directly to the feet of the most dangerous man on the pitch, and Iheanacho made no mistake dispatching his sixth goal of the tournament.
With a quarter-hour to go, Mexico managed to carve out a rare second-half chance, but Ochoa's header from close-range slipped wide of the post as the holders began to wilt under the ceaseless pressure of the buzzing Nigerians. Muhammed added a third with ten minutes to go, curling a sublime free-kick into the top corner.
Anyone in UAE who had the pleasure to see them will tell you that this Nigerian team were the best on offer. Even a few of the Mexican fans were mumbling "yes, yes, yes" when the final whistle went on Nigeria's glorious campaign here in UAE

‘I Sold Pasuma’s Range Rover Sport for ₦950,000’ - SUV Robber

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
Kasali Adegoke, the leader of the armed robbery gang that robbed popular fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi aka Pasuma, of his 2006 Range Rover Sport, says he sold the vehicle for N950,000.

A search on the Internet by Punch correspondent, however, suggested that used version of the vehicle sells for N3.5m, while a new one costs between N8m and N9m.

The 32-year-old, who is currently in detention at the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ogun State, said he sold the car to a receiver at Cotonou.

He said, “I have a receiver at Cotonou who usually calls to place orders for any type of vehicle that he wants. Before we stole Pasuma’s car, my buyer had already told me that he wanted a Range Rover Sport. We were just on the lookout for possible victims when we noticed Pasuma’s car.”

Although based in Ogun State, Adegoke said he usually comes to Lagos to steal choice vehicles.

On the night Pasuma was robbed, Adegoke said he was merely roaming the Ahamddiya area of Lagos along with some members of his gang when the musician was sighted.

PUNCH Metro had on May 29 2013, reported that a nine-man gang attacked the fuji artiste around 9pm, while he was on his way to a show.

Pasuma, who was dispossessed of other valuables in addition to his car, was said to have hidden his face from the robbers while the ordeal lasted. He was dumped in a bush near Ota, Ogun State after being stripped down to his underwear.

Adegoke said, “While he was with us, we had no idea that he was Pasuma. We did not recognise him. It was the next day that we realised that it was Pasuma car we snatched the previous night when the news was all over town.

“By that time, the car was already in Cotonou. We drove it that same night to a border town in Ogun State where one of the receiver’s boys was waiting to drive it back to Cotonu. We were paid N950,000.”

Despite a deformed left hand, Adegoke confessed to having killed over seven policemen during his six-year career as a robber.

The police added that his eight man gang had killed over 20 people.

“I was badly burned as a baby; I was just 13 days old when someone threw a burning material through the window on my bed. By the time I was rescued, the left side of my face and my left hand were badly burned.

“Despite the handicap, I was able to master the art of shooting with an assault rifle. I would rest the gun on the ground while I loaded it and would support it with my deformed hand while I shot,” he said.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police Mr. IKemefuna Okoye, had last Monday, paraded Adegoke along with three other suspects in Abeokuta.

Led by the SARS Officer-in-Charge, Mohammed Tijani, Adegoke was reportedly arrested in the Obele area, a border town between Nigeria and Benin Republic. He was said to have been critically injured in a shoot out with the police.

Adegoke reportedly led the SARS team to arrest other members of his gang at their hideout in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos State.

Okoye had said that the gang members had confessed to killing the former South West Coordinator and Ogun State Commander of the Vehicle Inspection Officer, Mr. Yomi Bamgbose, in 2011, as well as the killing of five policemen attached to the Quick Response Squad at the Ijemo Agbadu and Mowe/Ibafo areas one year ago.

The gang was also said to have allegedly killed about 11 policemen in Kwara and Lagos states and were responsible for the death of five policemen in the Imeko area of Ogun State, in a bullion van attack in September 2011.

They were also said to be responsible for the killing of four members of the Ogun State Vigilance Service and three filling station attendants in Ifo last June.

Real Madrid 2-1 Juventus: Ronaldo blasts Blancos past 10-man Bianconeri

Posted by Unknown Rabu, 23 Oktober 2013 0 komentar
The Portuguese scored both his goals before the break, either side of Fernando Llorente's equaliser, before Giorgio Chiellini was sent off three minutes after half-time.
Cristiano Ronaldo starred as Real Madriddefeated 10-man Juventusto put one foot in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday.
Ronaldo scored twice in the first half - his sixth and seventh goals of the competition this season - either side of Fernando Llorente's equaliser, before Juve saw Giorgio Chiellini sent off for an alleged elbow on the Portugal international.
Chiellini, who conceded the penalty that handed Ronaldo his second, was shown a straight red card three minutes into the second period when it looked as though he had done nothing more than fend off the forward with his arm.

Carlo Ancelotti made four changes from Saturday's 2-0 win over Malaga, including the return of Iker Casillas in goal and Karim Benzema up front.
For Juventus, Martin Caceres was in action for the first time since suffering a knee injury in early September, the defender one of three changes from Sunday alongside Angelo Ogbonna and Arturo Vidal.
The visitors threatened as early as the second minute - Claudio Marchisio stinging the palms of Casillas with a rasping drive from 25 yards.
However, two minutes laterRonaldoput Madrid in front with a well-taken goal. The Portuguese forward was slipped in by Angel Di Maria, before rounding Gianluigi Buffon and slotting home.
Midway through the half, Juventus drew level asLlorentefired home a rebound from six yards after Casillas had kept out Paul Pogba's back-post header from Caceres' cross.
Parity lasted for just seven minutes as Ronaldo netted his second of the night from the penalty spot.
Chiellini was adjudged to have brought down Sergio Ramos inside the area while defending a free kick andRonaldoplaced the resulting set piece high to Buffon's right.
Five minutes later Andrea Pirlo wasted a chance to equalise for a second time, blazing over from a tight angle following a scramble in the box.
Ronaldo then fired narrowly wide having fed by Benzema four minutes before the break as the contest continued at a furious pace.
Two minutes after the interval, the visitors were dealt a cruel blow when Chiellini was shown a straight red card for what the referee deemed to be an elbow on Ronaldo, although replays suggested the decision was harsh.
Benzema should have put Madrid further ahead on the hour, somehow turning the ball over from point-blank range after being picked out by Alvaro Arbeloa.
Sami Khedira was next to threaten in the 72nd minute, sending a tame chip into the arms of Buffon when clear on goal but it did not matter as Madrid made it three wins from as many European matches this season.
